A Day for Dad

29 Jun

Growing up, my dad would take us to the Tiger’s game at Tiger Stadium and watch the game teaching us the rules, sharing peanuts and cheering for our favorite players. Baseball has always been a part of his life and thus, became part of ours.

Since we were unable to spend Father’s Day together, my mom called me and suggested we celebrate the weekend we were all together for Lindsay’s shower. Even better? Sunday was Sparky Anderson’s number retirement ceremony. We surprised my dad with tickets for all of us to spend the day together at the ball park.

The whole Dilloway clan.

We had such a great day hanging out, cheering, eating our peanuts and just being together at the ballpark. My dad said it was one of the best gifts he has ever received. I love when I can give back to the people who have done so much for me. Another wonderful day full of memories at the old ball game.

It’s been so long since I’ve been to a ballgame. It always looks like such fun!

Tina, you have to go! It’s such a blast. Some times we go to the minor league games because they’re super cheap and you can enjoy a cocktail and hotdog in the sunshine. Such a great weekend activity!
