Oh, Christmas Tree

17 Dec

Morning, morning.

Can you believe we are just a few days from Christmas? Where did the year go?

Despite my lacking the Christmas bug this year, my husband is in full swing. He some how convinced me to stick with our tradition of cutting down a tree. So, the other weekend, we headed out to the tree farm with our boots and saw – Chevy Chase style.

We spotted a tree right away, but not wanting to grab the first one we saw, we decided to do some more exploring.

But, in the end, we came back to our first choice. Meet Arthur. 🙂

After he was wrapped up tight, it was time to take our burrito home.
The best gift of all..popcorn balls! Everyone gets a ball before they leave the farm. Fantastic.

After two trips in and out to get just the right height, Arthur found his perfect spot in the family room.

Welcome home, Arthur!

I have to say, setting up the tree in our new home did wrestle up some feelings inside – I am happy to have the tree, scents and excitement in our house. And, it doesn’t hurt that tree time = Christmas Vacation viewing! It is a tradition for us to watch this ridiculousness annually. Never gets old.

Very pretty tree! I’m bet you’re glad you went.

Thanks! Yes, it was a great time and nothing beats the scent of a Christmas tree. 😉
