Mother’s Day Weekend

14 May

On Friday, we had some special visitors come over! My sister, her hubs and daughter were in town for a wedding and Phil and I were on baby duty! A few months back, we were asked if we would want to watch Natalie and of course we jumped at the chance!!

Friday night, Linds and (her) Phil had rehearsal dinner, they took off around 5pm leaving us to a night of one on one time with the little one.

We kept is casual with some pizza and hanging out in the family room.

One hour later, we were all zonked out.

Saturday started with some Detroit love!!

Natalie is such an amazing baby; she laughs, plays, eats so well and sleeps through the night. It was probably a very skewed version of being parents. 🙂

Even the smallest moments seemed special.

After our afternoon nap, we took a stroll through downtown.

On Sunday, we were up and at ’em for a Mother’s Day celebration! My parents were in town, and once Lindsay and Phil were back from the wedding celebrations, we celebrated the day with a bbq.

Watching the Tigers with Grandpa.

It was sad to see everyone go…we had a house filled with love, laughter and new experiences that fill my heart. I find it hard to believe how much we can love children and I can’t imagine what it must be like to have a child of your own.

Thank you to Lindsay and Phil for trusting us with the most precious little girl – she is too beautiful for words, we’re more smitten than ever.

XO-

Such great pictures from the weekend! Thank you once again for watching Natalie. It means so much to leave her with the two of you. She sure is lucky to have such wonderful godparents like you and Phil.
