Six States, Seven Days

15 May

Last week, I traveled to Boston and New Orleans and this week, I am in Minneapolis!

The house was too quiet when I woke up, so I threw Henry in the car and we headed to downtown for a cup of joe and a walk.

We headed home and I got ready for my post-poned long run in 72 degree weather, it was not pretty. But, I did it. Less than two weeks to my first half marathon! I am definitely feeling ready to take on this run, not in a cocky way, but in a ‘lets do this already’ kind of way. I love running, but facing the must-do runs for the past few months gets tiresome…sometimes I just want to run! 🙂

I landed in Minneapolis and decided to lay low for the night (yes, I know Mall of America is down the road) after my run and travel, I was spent.

I am staying at the Sofitel, which is a beautiful hotel with French inspiration. I immediately fell in love when I walked in to a bar with apples and water flavored with fresh orange slices.

And once I checked in, the receptionist offered me fresh juice made from carrots, orange juice, ginger and agave and a cool towel with cucumber. It was so refreshing.

The room is uber cozy; just what I was hoping for, I mean just look at those beds!!

I spent the rest of the night catching up on work and getting sucked into Gossip Girl and the Bachelorette. It’s official, I’m hooked. Ugh.

This morning, I woke up with enough time to hit the hotel gym before my event at 8:30am.

The hotel has a fitness center that is open 24 hrs a day, which is so convenient.

OK, I’m off for a day of fun and learning! Hope you all have a great Tuesday.

Like sleeping on a bed of feathers. I want to ship it home to me.
