A Walk to Benefit the Kidney Foundation

21 May

A few months back, Phil and I went out to dinner to support the Michigan Kidney Foundation. While enjoying dinner, we learned about a benefit walk. This cause is near and dear to my heart, so I signed us up.

This morning, we headed over to Royal Oak for the NKF Walk at the Detroit Zoo.

We woke up nice and early and headed over to Royal Oak with the sunrise.

The event was very organized and had great volunteers.

Pita and hummus at 8am? Not so much. But, Phil was all about the free coffee and donuts.

And then it was time to start! We had a one mile walk that took us through the entire zoo.

We had a beautiful Sunday supporting an amazing cause that means a lot to me.
