Finding Your Own Balance

I once read that the perfect day is a balance of time to yourself, time with others, hard work, pleasure and time spent outside.

I don’t know if those were the exact words, but they rung true.

Life is stressful, and we can fill days with activities we don’t even enjoy.  We check off our to-do list but still fall in bed feeling unaccomplished, unsatisfied.

Sometimes this feeling is overwhelming, and that is when I know my life is not inline. There are times when this is unavoidable. But more times than not, we can control our lives.

It’s these little things that bring the whole day together.  Things like grabbing a coffee purely for pleasure, meeting up with an old friend, eating pancakes for breakfast, and allowing yourself to enjoy the little moments in life.

I don’t want to look back on my life and think “Wow, I kept a clean apartment, got everything done in time and went to the gym every day.” I want to think “I saw so much, loved even more, and made the most of my one wild and precious life.”
