Restaurant Review: Fuzzy’s

8 Jul

Phil’s grandpa lived in the same house his entire life. It is a beautiful three-story home in a sleepy part of town that feels as though nothing has changed with time.

At the end of that street is a local hang out; Fuzzy’s. Phil took me to the restaurant when we first started dating and I have been a fan ever since.

The restaurant is known for two things; it’s dough and ice cream.

Fuzzy’s makes a homemade dough that is slap-your-momma good. They use it for their stellar pizza and famous sandwiches. Much like a pita these bad boys are filled with lettuce, tomato and onion, and dressed with cheese and mayo – you pick the protein.

Phil went for the original with crispy chicken, while I did grilled minus cheese and mayo add tzatziki sauce – Y.U.M!!

The food is so good here, it’s all homemade. But, you would be foolish to stuff yourself at dinner because the other best part would be the ice cream parlor side.

They have some of the best flavors ever – its so hard to decide because I want them all.

I went with a kiddy scoop of the Vanilla with Blueberry & Waffle Cone (which is a normal size serving). Phil went for the double so he could try two flavors; strawberry and black raspberry.

The beat part is that the entire meal (two sandwiches, side of onion rings and two ice cream cones plus tip) was covered with a $20 with some change back.

Fuzzy’s, as always, gets two thumb up from this girl!

what’s one of those staple restaurants in your hometown?
What’s your favorite ice cream flavor? I love mint chocolate chip, coffee and cookie dough. Phil sticks with the fruity flavors.

I bet the taziki sauce was WAY better than the mayo! (For some reason, I hate mayo, haha) There is a fantastic restaurant in Columbus called Northstar Cafe that has legendary veggie burgers! I have to go there everytime I visit my parents!

It was delicious – homemade with cucumber and mint. I would like to find a recipe and try to make it myself. Yum, I love a good veggie burger!
