S’more Chocolate Smoothie

17 Jul

Some weeks are busier than others. We have extra commitments, which seems to be the name of the game come summer, work to do around the house, workouts, kids, friends and family – suddenly it feels like we have 22hr days. Where does the time go?

Last week I had events after work every night and found myself either picking at a few bites of food or straight-up missing dinner. On that night, I came home and decided to whip-up a summer inspired smoothie that was part dinner, part dessert. And let me tell you, it did the trick!!

Ingredients:

  • frozen banana
  • one scoop chocolate protein powder
  • one scoop peanut butter (I used PB2)
  • almond mile
  • ice

Combine all ingredients and let it blend up until nice and frozen. And now, this is where it gets good.

Topping:

  • 1 tbs chocolate chips
  •  1 tbs mini marshmallows
  • 3 gram cracker sticks (or half a sheet)

Top your smoothie with the makings of a s’more and let the thought of summer take over. Yum! I decided to stir my toppings into the smoothie and eat it with a spoon. This was so, so good and was light for my late-night meal but filled me up.

Wow that looks yummy! I think mini marshmallows on anything would be delicious, but your combo sounds so good.
